Phone Turns Off During Call or Shows Switched Off When Someone Calls? Here's the Fix!
Hey friends,
Recently, I had a strange issue with my phone. Whenever I called someone, the call would suddenly cut off. And even more weird—when someone tried to call me, they’d say, “Dai, your phone is switched off da!” But I knew for sure the phone was ON!
If you’ve faced the same, don’t worry—I figured out a few possible reasons and simple fixes. Sharing them here so it helps you too!
1. Battery Problems
Sometimes, if your battery is old or weak, the phone might just shut down on its own. Tip: Try keeping your charge above 20%. If your battery drains too fast, consider getting it checked or replaced.
2. Phone Getting Too Hot
If your phone becomes too hot (like after gaming or charging), it might auto-shut to cool down. Tip: Avoid using it while charging and close unused apps running in the background.
3. Software Glitch
This happened to me once after a system update. Random call drops and restarts! Tip: Restart your phone once. Also, go to Settings > System > Software update and make sure everything is up to date.
4. SIM Card Trouble
A loose or damaged SIM can mess with incoming and outgoing calls. Tip: Take it out, clean gently, and insert again. Or try your SIM on another phone and see if the issue continues.
5. Network Issues
Sometimes it's just the network messing with us especially in your areas. Tip: Try switching to 3G or 2G if 4G isn’t stable. Go to Settings > Mobile Network > Preferred Network Type and change it.
6. Call Forwarding / Do Not Disturb
There were times I had set call forwarding by mistake! Tip: Dial ##21# to cancel any call forwarding. Also, go to Settings > Sound > Do Not Disturb and turn it OFF.
7. Problem from Apps
Some third-party apps can interfere with calls, especially caller ID or antivirus apps. Tip: Try booting into Safe Mode and see if the issue is gone. If yes, uninstall the recent apps you installed from your phone.
Final Tip: If nothing works, do a backup and reset your phone as a last option. Or check with a mobile technician.
Hope this helps! If you found this useful, share it with friends & someone who’s struggling with the same issue. Let’s help each other out!
